By being there: Your are her friend -so being there to support and comfort and to listen to her is great. But also to listen for her when she meets the doctors - take notes and reiterate what they said afterwards- as she will forget or she will let her mind wander toward her kids, or husband eg. Ask questions for her that she discussed with you be careful with medical advise though- you are her friend.

Go with her to appts: To help her understand and remember.Make sure she gets to see each: oncologist, general surgeon, plastic surgeon before deciding on best treatment option. Help keep up good nutrition light exercise avoidance of people with infections, discuss what to do about hair loss in advance, make sure multiple nausea rxs available and taken in advance if chemo tobegiven, make tshirts, helpake work arrangement.
