Yes and no: Assuming your delivery was normal and vaginal it is likely that no adverse issues would come up. We do tell our patients to abstain for 6 weeks but only about half actually do that. Risks are probably very small by five weeks except for the real risk of pregnancy. Make sure you protect against that as it is probably not in anyone's best interest to have another baby nine months later!
