Doctor should check: Skin can be from dryness, sensitive skin, scratchy clothes, contact with certain plants, working with fiberglass, etc... A non-medicated skin cream, Hydrocortisone 1% cream (for just a few days), or another anti-itch cream can help (all over-the-counter). A doctor can give a diagnosis and start treatment. For burning sensations, there could also be a nerve problem, so an evaluation will help.
