A member asked:

Do seizures get continually worse?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

They can but rare: About 5% of all children will have seizures. This usually go away without any bad effects. Rare cases are associated with progressive loss of function and worsening of seizures (lennox-gastaut). Adult onset seizures may worsen, especially if associated with genetic or acquired disease. Aggressive management including brain surgery may help. Thorough neurological evaluation is necessary.
