Absolutely: A convulsion is a generalized event, but many focal seizure variants exist, such as shaking of but one limb, or episodes of complex partial seizure activity, which alter level of consciousness, and may be associated with postictal amnesia. If you or someone close has transient episodes of even altered communication, or interaction, this needs full examination.
