Yes...: An enlarged heart means less efficient pumping. This causes increase in the pressure to return blood to the heart in the venous system. This causes pressure and fluid backup in the abdominal organs leading to swelling of the lining, or "gut edema". Symptoms include getting "full" fast after eating, urgent need to defecate and abdominal pain all soon after eating. This leads to cardiac cachexia.
