First, diagnosis: A runny nose may be allergy, viral, nasal polyp, non-allergic rhinitis or vaso-motor rhinitis. The point I am making is, ask not what the treatment is, ask what the problem is. Good clinicians treat disease, not symptoms. Therefore, i recommend you consult a competent rhinologist (nose doctor) and find out why you have a runny nose.

Identify trigger: Once the cause of the runny nose is identified, then a specific treatment can be used. If the cause is allergy, then antihistamine should help. If no allergies are found, then other medications are available. An allergist can assist in identifying the reason for the runny nose and recommend a specific treatment plan to give relief.
