Not likely: A true winged scapula is felt to be related to wekness in the muscles that anchor the shoulder blade to the trunk, often caused by chronic nerve compression. That being said, patients with scoliosis usually have a rotation in their trunk which can make their scapula appear "winged". Thank you for your question.
