Go away dark spots: Hyperpigmentation may be caused by chronic inflammation. I al ways imagine that any time there is inflamm, the melanocytes (pigment cells) flock to the area thinking there is a party going on and just dont leave. I like rx hydroquinone and retinoids plus sunscreen. Sunscreen and hats are the most important thing. I love obagi nuderm for this and there are botanicals too but don't work as well.

Products containing retinols may help to even pigmentation. There are a number of medicines, like hydroquinone, that help reduce excess pigment.
