Strep throat or mono: It could be strep tonsillitis or mononucleosis.You need to see your doctor to find out what it is because if it is strep you need to be treated with antibiotics.You need direct examination and culture or spot strep test and if negative may need blood test to rule out mononucleosis.There is a possibility it may be nothing serious.
