What could cause problems with dry skin, lotion and epiduo?

Epiduo causes drying: Epiduo is a combo of two medicines--adapalene + benzoyl peroxide both of which can cause drying of the skin where the cream/lotion is used. Use sparingly--more is not better, just more drying. If too irritating, stop for few days, then use 1x/day for awhile. Dryness should improve. If not, consult doc. Good luck.
