Yes and No: Yes, all states have some form of requirement for vaccines for a child to participate in public schools. Some vaccines are required under those rules and others are only recommended. There are still options for parents to participate in public schools without vaccinating given that they have an approved excuse, such as a religious exemption. Some jobs also require vaccination updates.

Mostly yes. : As with the freedom of speech, you can say almost anything you want and be protected as an american. In most instances, vaccinations can be avoided by a religious objection, but what kind of religion would allow its children to be at risk for death from preventable diseases?
