A member asked:

What are the side effects of a tattoo during kidney disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I know of none: The blogs are full of people with transplants who've been warned not to get inked, but a search of the nih database shows not a single study or case report about any danger. You want to be inked by somebody who's professional, who shows you the safety procedures. The usual rules -- no ink until you're 30, and only if you've wanted exactly the same tat though the past five years.
