Yes: An old trick is to ask if the baby hiccoughed in utero, this is a good clue. Rashes, colic, spitting up all go with a milk allergy.

Yes: If there is a family history of allergy and your baby has the above symptoms, there may be a milk allergy. Other symptoms may include diarrhea, vomiting and irritability (colic). Prick skin testing is the most accurate way to diagnose a specific allergy as milk allergy. A trial of dairy avoidance to see if symptoms resolve may also be of use.

Yes: ...They probably do if they have some of these symptoms consistently every time they drink milk or ingest dairy: rash, eczema, swelling of the lips, tongue, or face, cough or wheezing, vomiting or diarrhea. Allergy skin tests can help clarify whether they have milk allergy. If they sometimes tolerate milk or dairy without symptoms, then allergy is unlikely.
