Electrical activity: Ekg is a graph of the electrical activity of the upper and lower chambers of the heart. Electricity travelling toward an ekg electrode records a positive deflection and away records a negative deflection . It offers a clue into various heart problems including heart attack, ischemia, heart rhythm disturbances, enlarged or abnormally thickened heart and electrolyte abnormalities to name a few.
