Skin allergy: Contact dermatitis can occur at any age and can come after years of exposure to a chemical. Allergy to fragrances, detergents, soaps, make-up etc. Are commonly noted after long periods of symptom-free tolerances. Dermatologists have been trained to use patch testing to identify chemical allergy.
