Im pregnant can i eat sushi?

Yes and no.: Officially the answer is avoid, but realistically fish that is "sushi grade" - frozen properly - is fine. See fda.Gov. Be careful with shark, king mackerel or swordfish as they are higher in mercury content.

Best to avoid raw: Fish (sushi). Avoid mecury. Fish w very high potential mercury levels: shark, swordfish, marlin & king mackerel, big eye & ahi tuna & orange roughy. & tilefish. Limit intake of yellow fin & white albacore tuna, spanish & gulf maceral, grouper, bluefish & chilean sea bass. For healthier mercury levels try: crabs, crawdaddies, haddock, flounder, salmon, shrimp, oysters, anchovies & herring.
