Numb toe: Indicates some type of nerve injury. It can be anything from back injury to pressure on local nerve from shoes. This would be more likely if you have deformity sych as a bunion or you have swelling in your feet.

Nerve : Sounds like the nerve in this area is under pressure, possibly from shoe. A subtle injury may have occurred, is there any back conditions. Sometimes this can cause a numbness feeling in toe. See a podiatrist.
