Yes: Many times blood from the stomach appears black by the time it is passed from you body. Additionally, a tumor may leak miniscule amonts of blood that go unnoticed. If you are concerned please see your doctor!

Yes: Bleeding is only one of several symptoms people with stomach cancer may have. Usually it is not that obvious in the stool, so the person doesn't realize they are bleeding at all. Stomach cancer is often picked up due to anemia ( low blood counts) for this reason. Anyone with bleeding or low blood counts should get thoroughly tested: it is not always cancer, it is not always stomach cancer.
