Antioxidants: Red wine ( a little better that other wines) has the antioxidants (flavonoids and resveratrol) from the grape and the positive effects of alcohol in small amounts. No more of two cups a day for males and one for women and no more than five times a week helps to prevent hear attacks. http://circ.ahajournals.org/content/111/2/e10.full.

Red wine: It has been shown that it is cardio protective in numerous studies but if taken in excess may cause other problems. A glass a day is appropriate. Good Luck

Not necessarily: Despite the folk lore of red wine being good for you, there is little objective evidence from a controlled trial to support this claim. Alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, so stay away from it. Have a healthy diet, exercise, drink plenty of water, have safe sex,. Wish you good health!
