What it's made: Of is the main difference. Spf number is most important. Higher numbers higher protection.

Application : There has been some mention in the news lately that spray on sunscreen uses alcohol as a carrier and if one does not allow it to dry thoroughly there have been cases where people got too close to a flame too soon and suffered serious burns. I prefer sunblock with zinc oxide which i haven't seen in a spray on preparation anyway.
