A member asked:

If my hyperacusis gets treated, will the light headedness go away?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: These symptoms may or may not be related and are non-specific. Hyperacussis or intolerance to loud noises is usually an inner ear symptom whereas light headedness is more central, that is, for example decreased oxygenation to the brain. It is important to know that light headedness is not a symptom of inner ear disease, whereas true vertigo (spinning) is. Check blood pressure and r/o anemia.
