Hyoscyamine: Is anticholinergic & antispasmodic agent , which is a racemic component of Atropine with twice the potency of atropine. Is used in gastrointestinal & urinary tract disorders to lower motility of these systems, also used preoperatively to lower secretions & protect the heart during surgery.

Levsin (hyoscyamine) = Hyosciamine: It is an anticholinergic/antispasmodic smooth muscle relaxant. ; used to treat numerous stomach ; intestinal disorders such as peptic ulcer and irritable bowel syndrome. Also used to control invuluntary bladder contractions (spasms) which can cause urinary incontinence. I use it in children to control urinary frequency ; day-time wetting. Other drs use it to reduce excessive salivation ; sweating.
