Many: There a large number if viral infections that can affect the brain - a few included here are: measles, chicken pox, herpes, HIV and most of the mosquito borne illness that cause encephalitis like arboviral encephalitides: west nile, st. Louis, la crosse, japanese, eastern and western encephalitis viruses. Also, other mosquito borne illness like dengue fever, malaria, rift valley & yellow fevers.
