What do you wear while having radiation therapy?

What ever part: Of the body being radiated needs to be exposed. Most clinics provide a gown and a place to stroe your street clothes. The radiation could penetrate through the clothing, but the skin gets a higher dose, and the therapist need to know where to set up the treatment fields.

Comfortable cottons: You can wear anything you want. Comfortable clothing preferably loose fitting and made of cotton is desirable as compared to nylons.

Easy to change: Most radiation clinics will have you partially disrobe for treatment and usually have a dressing room and robes to change into for treatment. Wearing something soft and comfortable to change in and out of to the department will make it easy to get ready for treatment. If you are developing any skin reaction then loose fitting soft cotten based clothes may b most comfortable.
