Yes: The body's biochemical processes need vitamins & minerals to work properly. Much of our grocery store food no longer contains the same levels of nutrients due to changes in farming. Environmental issues such as stress can cause a decrease in nutrients. Unless eating all organic food, supplements may be necessary and safe.

Depends: You have to know what youre taking. Many of them have interactions with medications. You can overdose on fat soluble vitamins a and d.
Try to gather as much information and ask your health professional to review your supplements before taking them.

Some are;others?: Some dietary supplements like omega3, odourless garlic, coq10, vitamins and few others are safe and may be effective in certain circumstances. But there are others which are marketed as fat burners, weight loss products and for cosmetic enhancers and others have no proven and scientific reason to be taken. One should consult their healthcare provider before taking any supplement.

Sorry...: Healthtap is not a clearing house for proprietary information nor can we appropriately grade for you the value of one "line" of products over another. Keep in mind that dietary supplements are seldom fda-regulated ; their stated claims must always be taken with a healthy degree of skepticism unless a particular product is recommended by your physician who knows you best. When in doubt think twice!
