A member asked:

Are enzyme pills safe to take daily as a dietary supplement? what can happen if taken too much?

Scam: The vast majority of "enzyme pills" are bogus. This scam is especially popular in eastern europe. Enzyme replacement is very helpful for folks with pancreatic diseases such as chronic pancreatitis and cystic fibrosis. They're only placebos if you've got normal pancreatic function.

Usually yes: Enzymes are generally safe unless you have an Alpha 1 anti trypsin deficiency.
