Many things can help: Acute treatments include anything that can cool the skin. Unless you are allergic aloe containing products can help with symptoms. Further, anti-inflammatory medicines can also reduce your symptoms. This would include things like aspirin, Ibuprofen and naproxen.

Options.: Cool, moist compresses can alleviate pain. Aloe vera (aloe barbadensis) can reduce redness, pain, itching & swelling from a burn. It has anesthetic, anti-inflammatory & antibacterial / antifungal qualities. It can speed burn healing by stimulating growth of new skin. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories and acetomenophen can be very helpful. Hydrate well and don't peel off any deep layers.
