A member asked:

Is it safe to have msg in diet? what are possible issues?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A little bit is ok: If one is not allergic to msg, nor has bad reactions to it, then a little msg is ok. It is in many foods, so people often don't know it's there. It is not necessary to be in foods, so one can read all the labels (and buy american-made, american-labeled foods, as some foreign foods have inaccurate labels) and choose no-msg types of foods. The "s" in msg is sodium, which we get too much of already.
