Circulation: Diabetes can affect the small blood vessels by calcifying (plaque) development. This is very common. You need to see a podiatrist or vascular surgeon or cardiologist to have an arterial doppler exam done on your legs and feet to determine flow. Additional testing such as mr or ct angiography may be necessary and a lower leg angioplasty may help. Keep walking and exercise!

If you are: Not getting circulation to your big toe this is a serious problem in a diabetic. You would want to see a vascular specialist. There are procedures that can be performed to try and revasularize areas suffering from blockage.
