28/F 2wks postop Tonsil/Adenoidectomy& turbinate surgery. Severe pain when I eat/drink Im dehydrated-3days w/ fever, cramps, mouth sores, no sleep Doc said try Pedialyte or go to ER. Is it normal to drink then get immediate diarrhea when rehydrating?
Is it okay to to get 2 liter bolus of normal saline IV fluids several days in a row for severe diarrhea when labs show no dehydration? We don't know the cause of diarrhea yet.
Fever (100) vomiting, diarrhea 4days ago. fever and vomit went away in 24hrs. No blood or blk stool sometimes painful to go no severe dehydration appetite going back to normal. Drinking fluids. what can I do at home to help stop the diarrhea?
