HIV Risks: I would like more information to get a specific idea on what you are truly concerned about. Hiv is in infected humans' body fluids. But, the virus is very fragile and does not last long outside of the body. I would not advise anyone with open sores or fresh cuts to let any infected body fluid near these lesions. My gut sense is that this situation is very low risk and to reassure you.
