Hernia?LymphNode?: Possible causes of a lump in the groin include a hernia, an enlarged lymph node, a lipoma, or an abscess. Each of these will have features on physical examination that will help determine the correct diagnosis; therefore, it is imperative that you make an appointment to see your primary care doctor to help sort this out. Good luck!

Maybe...: A swollen inguinal lymph node, or a hernia that does not cause pain. Lymph node swelling will resolve while hernias do not go away. Would need to have a physical examination with your doctor, and maybe an ultrasound, to tell what you may have.
