How poisonous is the smoke created by microwaving?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not at all: The vapors in a microwave oven are largely water vapor as steam with little or no food elements within. I assume that you are putting food in the microwave device and not 'non-food' items which could create a more toxic vapor.
