Too numerous: The major causes of hearing loss in childhood are genetic, infection, and trauma. In adults, the major causes are age, noise, head injury, genetics, various antibiotics and also impacted wax. A total list of causes of hearing loss would be too large to mention in this limited space. But I think these are the most common causes.
