Could be ovulation: If it is the true first day of your period coming two weeks after ovulation when the uterine lining is shedding, it would not be possible to conceive. However, sometimes bleeding can occur at ovulation, and if a woman interprets this as the first day of her period it would be the exact wrong time to have unprotected sex!

Lower risk.. but yes: Pregnancy has been documented from unprotected sex on any day of the cycle including during menses. The excited penis is secreting sperm containing semen continuously & it only takes one to get pregnant.Any unprotected exposure can get you pregnant, even on days that are called "safe".
