Possibly: It is true that in some areas, child psychiatric services are nearly non-existent. Child psychiatry is the most underserved specialty. Here in mississippi, where i practice, I have absolutely suggested to some parents of children with severe mental illnesses that they should consider moving to an area where more services are available.
