Flush with water: As with most ' eye splashes, " immediate flushing with plenty of water is important. So, try to flush it with water as much as he/she can tolerated. Vick's vapor probably causes some burning/discomfort to the eye, but not likely to cause injury or impair vision. If worsens with symptom, consult doc. Good luck.

Irrigate with eye : Wash and irrigate more. The eye will be red for some time even after the vick's is gone. If vision is blurry for a prolonged time or the pain is intolerable, see the eye specialist. Corneal abrasions often occur along with chemical injury. If things don't improve in short order see the eye doc. Check the vision in the eye and compare to the other eye. If bad, then see the eye doc.
