It depends: A 9 mo taking only 5 oz formula a feed is not getting enough, but i expect your son is getting more. At this age he should be getting 3 meals w/ solids a day & still on formula (not milk) ~ 4 times daily. Be sure he's not taking excessive juice/formula between meals. A bottle & some solid prior to bed is helpful but no "bed bottles." need to know how he's growing. Ck w/ pediatrician at next ck-up.
