Likely vitiligo: Sounds like you have vitiligo. Fungal infection typically does not change the hair color. Also, it is usually scaly and often itchy. In addition, fungal infection would have changed quite a bit over 5 years. Hope that explains it for you. If u r concerned, consult doc. Good luck.
