Senior Housing: Continuing care retirement communities (ccrcs) may be worth considering when a senior cannot live independent at home any more. Offering a variety of services within one community, ccrcs guarantee lifetime housing, social activities and increased levels of care as needs change. They range from single-family homes, apartments or condominiums to assisted living and all the way to nursing homes.

Different level: I presume you are asking about a community which provides assisted care when needed. Since each person's needs and financial situation are different, you will need to query the potential communities specifically about what they provides before making a decision. Usually the most costly the more services provided but it is not always true.
