In more sever cases there is agitation, confusion which in the most severe case is termed dts (delerium tremens) and can be fatal. Seizures and hallucinations may also seen but are separate from dts. Several things: Tremors and shakiness, anxiety, high blood pressure, elevated heart rate, hallucinations, seizures and even death. The most severe symptoms of hallucinations during which a person may be delirious and go in and out of consciousness is called delirium tremens and is considered a medical emergency. Also known as dts, now a days, true dts are actually quite rare.
