A member asked:

Is it safe to take a flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) while recuperating from wisdom tooth removal?

Med conflict?: As Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) is a muscle relaxant, I am wondering if you are worried about a conflict with pain medication from the dentist or oral surgeon who removed your wisdom tooth. If this is the case it would be helpful to know what pain medication you are taking to better answer your question.

Usually no problem: The question would be..."why are you taking flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl)?". It is more of what else are you taking. Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) is a muscle relaxer. If you are taking it for a different reason then consider what you take for the extractions. If you are taking pain meds and adding Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) that could be too much CNS depressants. Be careful and consult with the doctors who gave you each medicine.
