Absolutely: In second impact syndrome, patients who suffer more than one head injury in a short amount of time if it is severe enough, can die easily. This injury has a high mortality rate.

It is possible: I agree with dr. Armstrong. I want to add that in our community recently, a high school football player died from a head injury he sustained while playing football. So, yes, it is possible.
