Virus and Clinical: Condition. Ebv is epstein barr virus, it is a common of the clinical condion called infectious mononucleosis. Ebv also causes other diseases, e.g. Lymphoma, oropharyngeal cancer etc. Other viruses, e.G, cytomegalovirus can cause a picture similar to infectious mononucleosis, "mono".
