Antipsychotics: First generation antipsychotics such as Haldol & Mellaril & thorazine, have been used since the 1950's but less so nowadays due to side-effects. They all block Dopamine receptors & relieve psychosis. Second generation ones are used more nowadays since they are better tolerated, such as seroquel, abilify, geodon, latuda, (lurasidone) fanapt, etc.
