Yes: As long as there is no tingling like an outbreak is starting or no lesion you are safe. Many OB doctors will give you suppressive medications the last month of pregnancy to help prevent an outbreak too.

Yes: As long as you do not have a confirmed outbreak of herpes during delivery, you can go through with a vaginal birth. Keep in mind that in rare circumstances, some cases of herpes are transmitted when there are no active lesions present. So you need to be vigilant in keeping an eye on your baby during his first month of life, and if he were to develop any unusual skin lesions or fever, see your dr.
