Paranoia or anxiety: It sounds like you are having difficulty with excessive worry, rather than paranoia. This is an important distinction in that trtment differs. Focus on your goals: Since the potential list of bad things that could happen to you is infinite, there isn't enough time in a day to worry about everything. So, giving up worrying about "what ifs" is what people end up doing in order to feel pretty good on a daily basis. "let's cross that bridge when we come to it, " is another saying that fits. A professional evaluation or treatment of your anxiety could help.
