What is mild hepatomegaly with diffuse fatty changes?

Varies: An enlarged fatty liver (hepatomegaly) can be seen on ultrasound. This may be a more common condition in diabetics or those that are obese or overweight. Fat cells build up in the liver, and in some cases liver damage can occur.
