Is there a stronger pain medication than morphine for back pain?

Not really: Depending your dose and the formulation. If you are using a long acting morphine then there is no stronger form. However, you could have break though pain. Talk with your doctor.

Not for ANYTHING: There's no stronger legal pain medicine for ANYTHING than morphine. Some people find the closely related hydromorphone aka Dilaudid to be about as effective. Only diacetylmorphine aka heroin is thought to be stronger than native morphine but of course it's Schedule I. There are times when compassionate use of heroin for really intractable pain would be rational but it won't happen in the USA.
